A Successful Start: Welcoming New Faces and Reconnecting with Friends
This week we welcomed new faces to RGS and it has been lovely to see new pupils in Year Seven, the Sixth Form and in other Year groups settling in with their peers, meeting their teachers, making friends and becoming part of the RGS Family.
It has also been delightful to see pupils and staff reconnecting after the summer holidays and hear the excitement and eagerness as they walk to and from lessons.
We asked some of our new Year Seven pupils to reflect on their first week at school and here is what they had to say:
“People here are really kind and helpful!”.
“I loved Science, especially using the Bunsen burners”.
“People are always around to help if we get lost!”.
“There are so many clubs that you can choose from and sign up to”.
“The food here is great, especially the Chilli tacos”.
“I loved the Games lessons”.
“I liked the Drama, we did fun activities to get to know each other”.
“I have enjoyed seeing my friends and making new ones”.
We hope Year Seven had a great day at Oaker Wood today!
