Announcing our Focus Sport Captains for 2025-26
We are delighted to introduce our Focus Sports Captains for the next academic year. Our Focus Sport Captains are individuals who embody the RGS Charter for Sport by being Resolute, Gracious, Selfless, Willing and proud of ‘Being Green’.
Reuben Townes will be Captain of Cricket. On becoming Captain, Reuben said: “I feel extremely proud and honoured to have been given the Cricket captaincy for the 2025/26 season. I am looking forward to the winter net programme and an exciting new season showcasing our talent and teamwork. It will also be special captaining the team in the prestigious RGS Schools Cricket Festival, which we will be hosting next year.”
Isabelle Fawcett will be the Captain of Girls’ Cricket. Isabelle commented: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to represent RGS Sport as the Girls’ 1st XI Cricket Captain this year. Working alongside the Cricket coaches, I am looking forward to expanding and developing our squad and building on the successes of the excellent results from last year and continuing to strengthen Girls’ Cricket at RGS”.
Ellis Williamson is Captain of Football. Ellis said: “I am honoured to be the Captain of Football for the upcoming 2025-26 season. I am looking forward to leading this new exciting squad and I believe we can replicate the success and commitment of last year.”
Eden Williamson is Captain of Netball. Eden commented on becoming Captain, saying: “I am honoured and privileged to have been entrusted with the role of Netball Captain for the 2025/26 season. I greatly look forward to seeing what this team can aspire to and accomplish this year, and I hope to retain the trophy in the annual ‘Superball’ match.”
Liam Chadwick is Captain of Rugby. Liam commented: “It’s a real honour to lead the First XV this season, and I am proud to represent RGS and determined to drive the standard both on and off the pitch. The team’s looking forward to this seasons fixtures, especially with the Modus Cup on the horizon.”
Fynn Butler is Captain of Hockey. On becoming Captain, Fynn said “It is a privilege to be Captain this year. I am excited to support the team and help the younger players grow in confidence and enjoyment of the game.”
Freddie Fielding is Captain of Boys’ Rowing. Freddie commented on becoming Captain saying: “I am really proud to have been appointed Rowing Captain this year. Rowing has been such an important part of my time at School, and I am excited to help lead the squad both on and off the water. My goal is to support the team in pushing ourselves to new levels, building strong bonds, and representing the school with pride at every regatta. I am looking forward to a great season ahead.”
Martha Colclough and Lottie Richardson are Captains of Girls’ Rowing.
Martha said: “I am really excited for the year ahead and honoured to co-Captain such an amazing Boat Club. I am looking forward to developing alongside all my friends and having the chance to grow as a team.”
Lottie said: “It is an honour and a privilege to be appointed captain of rowing. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and look forward to representing the boat club with pride. I can’t wait for the busy and exciting year ahead, both on and off the water.”
