Local Talent Shines at Artists’ Exhibition
This month, Worcester’s creative spirit was on full display as the Barbourne Artists’ Spring Exhibition brought colour and imagination to the City. Held at The Artery Studios, the event offered a rich and varied collection of artwork that attracted visitors from across the city and beyond.
Among the talented group of five featured artists were two members of staff from RGS Worcester and RGS Dodderhill. The artistic works of Learning Support Assistant at RGS Dodderhill, Caroline Hall and Art Technician at RGS Worcester, Felicity (Fliss) Osborne, played a central role in the vibrant showcase. The exhibition included a diverse range of paintings, textiles and pottery, all created by artists based in the Barbourne area.
Mrs Caroline Hall, whose expressive paintings and ceramics are known for their impressionistic flair and lively palette, captured the beauty of shifting light and the changing seasons through her work. Her pieces resonated with viewers for their connection to nature and celebration of local landscapes.
Miss Fliss Osborne exhibited a series of striking abstract paintings filled with energy and spontaneity. Using fluid art techniques and inspired by organic forms, her work pulsed with rhythm and movement, drawing admiration for its sense of creative freedom.
Alongside fellow artists Jane Arthur, Cherrie Mansfield and Margaret Powell, the RGS teachers helped create an exhibition that was both visually captivating and a powerful celebration of local artistic talent. The event proved a wonderful reflection of Worcester’s vibrant arts scene and an inspiring reminder of the creative talent within the RGS Worcester community. Many congratulations go to Caroline and Fliss.
