Maundy Thursday Visit by Her Majesty Queen Camilla
Over Easter, we had the honour of welcoming Her Majesty Queen Camilla for her visit to Worcester Cathedral for the Maundy Service. The Queen arrived in Worcester via helicopter and landed at Flagge Meadow, which has now been used several times for the Royal Flight.
Upon arrival, Her Majesty was greeted by the Director of Finance and Operations, Mr Ben Edwards, accompanied by his two daughters who presented the Queen with a bouquet of flowers.
Although it was during the holiday period, several RGS teaching and support staff gathered to witness Her Majesty’s arrival at Flagge Meadow. Sixth Form student Martha Burdon and Singing teacher Mr Hunt had the privilege of being part of this prestigious Maundy Service.
It was an absolute delight for all present to welcome Queen Camilla to Worcester, marking a memorable day in our School’s history.
