Uniting for Long Covid Kids: Libby’s Marathon Fundraiser
This Sunday Year Eleven pupil Libby Parker, will be embarking on her marathon distance fundraiser for Long Covid Kids.
Long Covid Kids have been connecting and supporting families, children and young people living with Long Covid since October 2020. The charity supports children and young people living with Long Covid and related illnesses and the parents and caregivers that look after them. They offer peer-to-peer support for families, children and young people via their Facebook group. They also provide Zoom Hangouts hosted by their team of volunteers and via their online service ‘ChatBox’, an online forum that welcomes children and teenagers aged 8-17 years and the parents and caregivers who care for them. Families using the support services have reported that connecting with other families sharing a similar experience to them has been “a lifeline”.
Please do have a look at the route below and see if you can come along to any of the checkpoints and support Libby with The Big Push 2.
On Sunday afternoon we will be at RGS Worcester cheering Libby on as she reaches her final destination and we would be delighted if you could join us too!
Please donate what you can and get involved in supporting Libby and Long Covid Kids by raising funds for children living with Long Covid, your donations no matter how small will make a big difference to the lives of children like Libby. To donate, please click here.
