Supporting ‘Worcester’s Big Parade’
We hope you enjoyed visiting the trail of beautifully decorated elephant sculptures that were on display throughout Worcester City over the summer as part of ‘Worcester’s Big Parade’, raising funds for St Richard’s Hospice.
The trail included an RGS Worcester Baby Elephant, superbly decorated by the RGS Worcester Art Department. The design was a collaborative effort by pupils and based on a deconstruction of the coat of arms of Worcester and the School.
St Richard’s Hospice commented: “Thank you for all your support, dedication and hard work in designing your ele-baby, he is simply stunning”, adding: “Our thanks go to you and your wonderful staff and students. RGS is without doubt one of the most significant supporters of St Richard’s Hospice and we are truly humbled by your continuous ongoing support. Hopefully your students realise how very special they are and the wonderful difference they have made to so many people’s lives.”
