Sun, Spirit and Sportsmanship at Sports Day

This week, pupils enjoyed participating in the Lower, Middle and Sixth Form Sports Days. With the opportunity to take part in a variety of athletic challenges and events, pupils had lots of fun competing alongside their peers and earning all-important ‘House’ points.

The sun shone on the School’s St Oswald’s Fields Sports ground for the afternoon events, which celebrated ‘Sport for All’ at RGS Worcester.

A number of outstanding achievements saw new School records set:

Year Seven

 Ben Bean – 800m in 2:24
 Oscar Hewitt – 300m in 42.54s
 Poppy Palmer – 300m in 47.29s

Year Eight

 Georgina Collins – High Jump at 1.55m

Year Nine

Evie Kilby – 300m in 47.5s

The results of the track and field events will all go towards the House competition, with the trophy being awarded in the final Assembly of the academic year.
