Year Seven Discover the Wonders of the Natural World
Last Thursday, Year Seven pupils embarked on an exciting Geography-focused field trip to the Natural History Museum in London. Despite the early start and long journey, the pupils were enthusiastic and engaged throughout the day, exploring a variety of exhibits related to volcanoes and earthquakes. Highlights included interactive displays, such as the earthquake simulator, which brought the science of tectonic plate movements and volcano formation to life.
In addition to their Geography studies, pupils were captivated by the museum’s iconic exhibits, including the life-sized dinosaur skeletons and the awe-inspiring blue whale model. These displays sparked lively discussions about prehistoric life and Marine Biology, broadening the pupils’ understanding of the natural world.
The trip proved to be a highly enriching experience, as pupils actively participated in discussions and gained valuable insights into the forces that shape our planet and its history.
