Year Eight Pupils Recognised for AI Achievement
All pupils in Year Eight have successfully completed the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence module set by RGS and received certificates in recognition of their achievement.
This module is a core element of RGS Worcester’s Digital Learning strategy, providing pupils with a foundational understanding of AI, from its everyday applications to the ethical questions it raises. Designed to nurture critical thinking, digital responsibility and curiosity about emerging technologies, the course plays a crucial role in preparing pupils for a rapidly evolving digital world.
This milestone also reflects the School’s recent success in earning the prestigious AI Gold Award, recognising RGS Worcester’s national leadership in embedding AI education across the curriculum.
Lead Computing Teacher and Digital Learning Co‑ordinator, Mrs Michelle Parton, said: “We are delighted that our Year Eight pupils have completed this course on Artificial Intelligence. Not only have they developed a deeper technical understanding, including an understanding of how machine learning works, but they have also thoughtfully reflected on the potential benefits and challenges that AI presents. We are confident this experience will help them become responsible and discerning users of AI in the future.”
Congratulations to our pupils and thank you to Mrs Parton and the Computing Department for delivering such an engaging and forward-thinking programme.
