Sun, Snow, Slopes and Spectacular Memories
The recent Ski trip to Marilleva, Italy, over Half term was an unforgettable experience for all involved. Our hotel’s prime location, just a short walk from the gondola, provided easy access to the slopes, where pupils and staff enjoyed a fantastic week of Skiing. With glorious sunshine, excellent snow conditions, and delicious meals to refuel after a day on the mountains, the trip was a resounding success. Evening activities—including swimming, karaoke, sledging, après-ski fun, and a spectacular fireworks display—added to the excitement.
Of course, the highlight was the Skiing itself. Pupils of all abilities and staff embraced the challenge of the slopes, making impressive progress while having a brilliant time together. As teachers, we are always delighted to see learning in action, and this trip provided a unique environment for pupils to develop not only their Skiing skills but also their resilience and confidence—qualities that will benefit them far beyond the mountains.
A huge thank you to the dedicated staff who made the trip possible: Mrs and Mr Nicholls, Mr Scanlon, Miss Kelley, Mrs Stace, Miss Cameron, and Mr Bridger. Special recognition goes to Mr Leeds for his exceptional organisation and leadership.
Mr John Bridger, Teacher of Geography and Assistant Head of Year
