Showcasing Excellence in Digital Learning
RGS Worcester and RGS The Grange hosted a Digital Learning Study Tour in collaboration with the West Midlands EdTech Hub. This joint #AppleRTC and West Mids EdTech Hub event brought together school leaders from across the West Midlands and beyond, including representatives from The Windsor Academy Trust, Rivers Academy Trust, and schools as far afield as Reading.
The day began with a welcome by the Headmaster of RGS Worcester followed by inspiring presentations by our pupil Digital Geniuses, showcasing their expertise in digital technology. Visitors then toured RGS Worcester to witness how digital teaching and learning have become an integral part of everyday practice, demonstrating how technology is seamlessly embedded across the curriculum, enhancing learning and enriching the classroom experience. Teachers also shared how digital tools are reducing workload, streamlining organisation and improving the quality of feedback.
The tour continued at RGS The Grange, where Headmaster Gareth Hughes highlighted the School’s journey to becoming a leader in digital innovation within Prep education. Guests toured classrooms from Years One to Year Six, observing how technology is thoughtfully integrated across a wide range of subjects. The proficiency of both pupils and teachers emphasised that digital technology at RGS The Grange is not a novelty but a purposeful tool that enhances teaching and learning where it adds value.
The event concluded with lunch, a Q&A session, and a final debrief at RGS Worcester. Thank you goes to all the staff across our Schools who opened their classrooms and to the catering, event-planning, and maintenance teams who ensured the day ran smoothly. Special recognition goes to our pupil Digital Geniuses for their eloquence and expertise in presenting the power of digital learning. We extend our gratitude to our guests and warmly invite them to return to the RGS Worcester Family of Schools.
