RGS Chemists Celebrate Success in Cambridge Challenge
Upper Sixth Form Chemists were celebrating this term having received their certificates from the annual Cambridge Chemistry Challenge they entered last term. There were 11 medal winners which is superb (medals were only awarded to the top 30% of 15,000 entrants nationally). The students sat a challenging written paper with a myriad of extended questions on topic areas such as the Chemistry of Boron and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance as applied to Alkene molecules
Aryan Peddareddy deserves a special mention for his outstanding Gold award, which placed him in the top 10% of all entrants. The full list of medal winners is below:
Aryan Peddareddy – Gold
Sophia Nancarrow – Silver
Lottie Boeckx – Silver
