Performers Set to Bring ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ to RGS
We are thrilled to announce that ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ will be this year’s Junior Summer Drama Production. After weeks of auditions, the cast has been finalised, and the cast and crew are already preparing to deliver an unforgettable performance. Over the coming months, their hard work and dedication will bring the magic of this extraordinary story to life.
Set nineteen years after Harry, Ron, and Hermione saved the wizarding world, ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ follows an incredible new adventure featuring a brave new generation of witches and wizards at Hogwarts. When Harry Potter’s determined son, Albus, forms an unlikely friendship with Scorpius Malfoy, son of his father’s former rival, Draco, it sets off an extraordinary journey through time. With the stakes higher than ever, they face a battle against mysterious forces which could alter both the past and the future.
This special High School Edition of ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ has been adapted specifically for school theatre productions, giving our pupils the exciting opportunity to step into the roles of Harry, Hermione, Ron, and other beloved characters. Through their creativity and talent, they will recreate the wizarding world on the stage of the Performing Arts Centre, promising an unforgettable experience for performers and audiences alike.
