Myriad Centre Welcomes RGS Charity Committee
Following months of fundraising, members of the Sixth Form Charity Committee, Sofia Stolt, Bella Gray, and Mya Walford, accompanied by Pastoral Secretary Mrs Margaret Sturdy and Teacher of Mathematics Mrs Joanna Noble, visited the Myriad Centre to see first-hand the impact of the School’s fundraising.
The Myriad Centre, which provides specialist care for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities, has been chosen as the Sixth Form’s charity for this academic year. Pupils continue to raise funds throughout the year in support of the Centre’s vital work.
During their visit, the group was warmly welcomed with tea, cake and engaging conversation. They were given the opportunity to learn more about how the dedicated staff at the Centre create a calm, safe and enriching environment where every individual is treated with dignity and compassion. The ethos of the Myriad Centre, focused on possibility rather than limitation, left a lasting impression on all who attended. The visit was a powerful reminder of the difference that charitable giving can make and its importance to the RGS community. The group returned to School both inspired and proud to be supporting such a meaningful cause.
