Inaugural CCF Tri-Service Competition at Top Barn
On Friday 24 May, the RGS Worcester Combined Cadet Force (CCF) participated in the inaugural Tri-Service Competition at the Lakeside Campus of Top Barn near Worcester.
Four CCF teams took part: the Army Section, Royal Navy Section, Royal Air Force Section, and a combined team of Royal Navy and RAF Cadets. The event featured fierce competition among the teams.
The day began with a refresher session on kayaking skills, followed by a timed race. Next, the Cadets tackled a climbing challenge and a ‘leap of faith’, which were scored based on teamwork and individual challenge levels. The final event was a laser shotgun competition, scored on the number of targets hit during a 10-clay challenge.
The competition was incredibly close, with each team finishing either first or second in each phase. In the end, the Army Section narrowly secured victory, beating the RAF Section by just one point. The Royal Navy Section was highly commended for their outstanding team spirit throughout the event.
Congratulations to all the teams for their remarkable performances, we look forward to more competitions like this in the future.
