Equestrian Team Triumphs

We are pleased to share the recent achievements of our Equestrian team members who represented RGS at the recent NSEA show jumping County Qualifier.

On Saturday 10 February, Lilianna Sprigg, Tori Baker, and Jessica Weston showcased their exceptional skills at this highly competitive event. Competing against numerous schools, our riders displayed remarkable determination and skill. Lilianna and Jessica secured their places in the championships at Hickstead in May by clinching the highest positions within Worcestershire in their respective classes. Tori impressed with her elegant and faultless rounds, reflecting her dedication and hard work.

Congratulations to Lilianna and Jessica, who will now represent RGS as individual riders at the championship in Sussex. We wish them the best of luck as they prepare to showcase their talent on a grand stage.

Congratulations must also go to Cleo Whitbread, who was selected for the prestigious British Eventing Spotlight Award in February. Cleo’s dedication and passion for riding have been evident throughout, and her accomplishment is a testament to her hard work. Congratulations, Cleo, on this well-deserved recognition!

As we look ahead, our Equestrian team is gearing up for more thrilling competitions. On Saturday 23 March, we have the Arena Eventing competition, where Tori Baker, Hannah Darby, and Jessica Weston will be representing RGS. Before the end of the month there will also be the county qualifier for dressage. Competing in this event will be Charlie Jordan, Izzy Callow, Jessica Weston, and Lily Smart.

We eagerly anticipate more opportunities for our talented riders, including the younger members, in the upcoming summer term.
