A Week of Magic, Music and Memories in Orlando

From 13 to 20 July, 18 pupils embarked on an unforgettable Drama Trip to Orlando, Florida, where they immersed themselves in the magic of Disney and beyond.

A highlight of the week was the chance to take part in two Disney Imagination Campus workshops. In the first, pupils explored the art of ensemble, culminating in a memorable performance of ‘Colder by the Minute from Frozen: The Musical’. The second workshop offered a taste of professional dance training “the Disney way”, giving pupils first-hand experience of the creativity, discipline and energy behind a Disney production and ending with a performance.

Alongside the workshops, pupils enjoyed days filled with adventure at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, as well as thrilling experiences at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. These activities not only offered excitement but also deepened their appreciation of the arts, from world-class performances and film experiences to the creativity expressed through every ride and show.

What stood out most, however, was the spirit of the group. New friendships were forged and pupils supported and encouraged one another throughout the trip. Staff praised the independence, positivity and focus demonstrated by pupils, who made the very best of every opportunity.
