A Run of Success at County Cross-Country Championships
This week, pupils took part in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Schools Cross-Country championships, representing the Worcester City district. RGS runners competed in each of the different age group races, testing themselves against the fastest school pupils from around the two counties. All the participants acquitted themselves well, with four pupils finishing inside the top five.
In the Senior Boys’ race, Jack Price and Dylan Teasdale came 2nd and 5th respectively. Annabelle Howarth finished 5th in the Senior Girls’ event, and in the Intermediate Girls’ race, Lexi Agoston achieved 3rd place. All four have been invited to run for the Hereford and Worcester County teams in March at the National Championships in Sussex.
Congratulations to them for this achievement, and we wish them the very best of luck!
Mr Stephen Alexander, Head of Cross-Country
