Information on paying fees

Tuition fees for the school year are split into three equal instalments, regardless of the duration of each term. School fees are charged in advance and are due on or before the first day of term. Alternatively, arrangements can be made to pay fees in monthly instalments by direct debit, with no additional charge for this option.

Fees in Advance

The RGS Worcester Family of Schools has a Fees in Advance scheme which is open to fee-payers who wish to pay for more than four terms in advance. This scheme is available across all of The RGS Family of Schools, including RGS Worcester, RGS Dodderhill, RGS Springfield and RGS The Grange. It provides an opportunity for fee payers to benefit from a saving on the overall cost of education by making a lump sum payment to the School in advance. Insurance Policies

Pupil Absence Insurance is available at a small cost (0.55% of the School fee) which can be added to your invoice. This covers children who are absent for more than 8 consecutive days and must be evidenced by a note from a qualified GP. Further information is available from the Bursary. This charge will be exempt from VAT.

Sibling Discount

There is a 15% discount available for a third sibling and 20% for a fourth sibling whilst all three/four children are at The RGS Worcester Family of Schools, effective when the youngest child reaches Reception. All fee remission is applied to net fees.

Optional and Additional Charges

Lunches

Lunches are included in school fees where compulsory dining is in place (i.e. RGS Dodderhill, RGS Springfield and RGS The Grange). Where lunches are included, there is no discount available for those pupils who opt out. Lunches are charged separately at RGS Worcester at £5.40 per day when ordered for the term and £5.70 per day when ordered on an ad hoc basis. Lunch costs are exempt from VAT.

Music Tuition

Individual Music tuition is available. Lessons are organised on a rota basis so the same lesson is not missed each week. Parents are billed directly £215 per term (inc. VAT), based on ten lessons. 

School Transport

The RGS Worcester Family of Schools has a large transport network using our own RGS transport, which is monitored using a state-of-the-art transport app. This is available to all of our pupils across the four RGS Schools. School Transport costs are zero-rated for VAT purposes.  Find out more.

Other Charges to consider

Public examinations*, examination re-marks*, Co-Curricular trips*, replacement ID cards and lanyards, counselling*, breakfast, snacks and lunches at RGS Worcester*, lost books*. Some Co-Curricular activities incur a charge, for example, Horse Riding, Rowing and RGS Swimming Academy. We advise of these charges in advance of your child taking part in the activity.

Learning Development

Parents are billed directly at £432 per term, based on ten x 30 minute lessons (including VAT). Additional charges are payable for Access Arrangement testing, support for EHCP application, preparation for an EHCP tribunal attendance at the hearing and will be subject to VAT.

Nursery

For Nursery and Pre-School, the full-time termly charge is £4,392 (VAT exempt), and for those not attending full-time, the daily charge is £82.00 (7.45 am – 6.00 pm).

We offer between 15 and 30 hours funding through the Government Scheme for children aged 2+ until the term in which they turn 5.  This support will reflect the prevailing Government regulations and is subject to a minimum of two days per week.

What is Included in Nursery

• Wraparound care from 7.45 am – 6.00 pm daily
• A mid-morning snack consisting of milk or water and fruit
• A choice of hot and cold lunch
• After-School clubs run by RGS Staff (there is an additional cost if an external person runs the club)
• Tuition including specialist teaching in Music, Computing, French, Games and PE
• All stationery and textbooks
