A World of Opportunities Beyond the Classroom
Last Friday, Lower School pupils had the opportunity to explore the wealth of Co-curricular activities available at RGS Worcester during the annual Activity Fair in Eld Hall. From Music and Drama to Coding, Debating, Sport and much more, there was something to capture every pupils interest and inspire new passions.
With over 130 clubs and societies on offer, lunchtimes and after-school sessions are filled with opportunities for pupils to discover fresh pursuits or develop existing talents. The variety is broad, ranging from Astronomy to Wind Band, and includes everything from Textiles Club, Ukulele Club and Drama productions, to academic and intellectual challenges in Anatomy Club, Book Clubs, Coding and Digital Leaders. Debating continues to thrive in popularity and provides pupils with the chance to sharpen their skills in a rewarding and competitive environment.
The Fair also highlighted how pupils can take ownership of their Co-curricular experience, whether by joining established clubs or proposing new societies with support from staff. Club leaders, including both teachers and enthusiastic pupil leaders, were on hand to share insights and answer questions, helping pupils make informed choices about how to spend their time beyond the classroom.
We hope that pupils have chosen activities that spark their enthusiasm! If any pupil has an idea for a new club or society, we would be delighted to hear about it and explore how it could become part of our ever-growing Co-curricular programme and the long list of clubs and societies.
