Preparing for the Next Chapter with ‘Sixth Former for a Day’
On Wednesday, Year Ten pupils had the opportunity to experience life as a ‘Sixth Former’ for the day. They stepped into the shoes of our Sixth Form students, attending lessons in a range of subjects, including subject options such as Business, Economics, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, BTEC Sport, and CTEC Business, while also exploring Gordon House, our dedicated Sixth Form Centre, and enjoying time at ‘Joe’s’, the Sixth Form café.
The day offered valuable insight into the differences between GCSE and Sixth Form study, highlighting the academic depth and independent learning that characterise A Level, BTEC and CTEC courses. Pupils were also introduced to the wealth of support and opportunity available at RGS Worcester, such as the extensive Co-curricular programme and Careers guidance.
With so many exciting options and opportunities ahead, pupils left the day inspired about the prospect of choosing subjects, they are passionate about and studying them in greater depth as members of the RGS Worcester Sixth Form.
