Year Nine Explore the Birthplace of Modern Computing at Bletchley Park
Year Nine Computer Science pupils recently embarked on an inspiring trip to historic Bletchley Park in Milton Keynes on Thursday 27 June. The once top-secret home of the World War Two codebreakers, including Alan Turing, houses famous exhibits such as the iconic Enigma and replica Bombe machine.
This immersive experience allowed our budding computer scientists to delve into the subject’s incredible history. They were captivated by the pioneering work of the trailblazers based at Bletchley Park, which has shaped modern computing.
Year Nine pupil Zara Ashfield said: “It was a great day to step back in time and experience the secretive origins of Computer Science.”
