Lower Sixth Learn Insights from Professor Craig Jackson

Lower Sixth Psychology students recently attended a lecture by Professor Craig Jackson from Birmingham City University at Christopher Whitehead Language College.

The lecture focused on Personality Disorders, specifically Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Students gained insights into the defining features of narcissism and the complexities surrounding the classification of personality disorders.

Professor Jackson discussed the identifying characteristics of narcissists, their disproportionate representation in prisons, and the observed increase in narcissistic personality disorders, potentially influenced by social media. This session proved highly informative, expanding our understanding of disorders beyond the standard curriculum and developing a deeper interest in this area of study.
