🔢💚 Exploring Number Bonds in Year Two! 💚🔢
Our Year Two pupils have been developing their understanding of number bonds and related facts in Maths, using their knowledge of number bonds to 10 to help them identify and recall number bonds to 100.
Using rekenreks, the children represented numbers and explored how numbers can be combined and partitioned, bringing their learning to life through practical activities.
It was wonderful to see their perseverance as they tackled problems and grew in confidence, applying their mathematical understanding more independently.

⛪💚 Year Five Explore Worcester Cathedral! 💚⛪
Our Year Five pupils enjoyed a fascinating visit to Worcester Cathedral, enriching their Religious Studies learning about Christianity.
During their visit, the children took part in three engaging workshops and an informative tour, discovering how this magnificent building was constructed. They even had the opportunity to put their engineering skills to the test by building their own freestanding arch! 🏛️
Pupils also explored the Christian celebration of Holy Communion in one of the side chapels and learnt about the Creation story through the stunning West Window.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such a remarkable Cathedral on our doorstep and are grateful to the knowledgeable volunteers who brought its history and significance to life.
Our pupils were a credit to the school, impressing the Cathedral guides with their knowledge, curiosity and respectful behaviour throughout the visit. 👏

🌿🐭 Reception Stay and Play in Forest School! 🐭🌿
Our Reception children enjoyed a special Stay and Play session in Forest School, sharing their outdoor adventures with their grown-ups.
The children loved showing their adults around the site and getting stuck into a range of activities, including a bug hunt and creating their very own clay harvest mice!
It was a wonderful opportunity to share their learning, explore the natural world together and make special memories outdoors.

🏛️🌿 Year Four Step Back in Time at Chedworth Roman Villa! 🌿🏛️
Our Year Four pupils enjoyed an exciting trip to Chedworth Roman Villa, bringing their Roman history learning to life!
Guided by a Romano-British villa owner dressed in authentic Roman clothing, the children explored the incredible mosaics, bath houses and dining rooms, discovering how people lived almost 2,000 years ago. They were particularly fascinated by the villa’s ingenious water system, which transported water throughout the impressive Roman home.
The adventure continued with a range of hands-on activities, including creating mosaics, exploring Roman architecture, playing traditional Roman games and trying on Roman costumes.
It was a wonderful day of discovery, giving pupils the opportunity to immerse themselves in history beyond the classroom.
Our Year Four historians were a credit to the school, showing fantastic curiosity, enthusiasm and exemplary behaviour throughout the trip. Well done, Year Four!

🙏💚 Year Six Explore Sikhism 💚🙏
Our Year Six pupils visited a Gurdwara in Birmingham as part of their Religious Studies learning about Sikhism.
During their visit, the children explored the beautiful building, including the prayer hall and the mirrored dome on the roof. They also discovered the fascinating history of the Gurdwara and learned about the volunteers whose dedication helped establish the community and continues to keep it thriving today.
The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to ask questions, deepen their understanding of Sikh beliefs and traditions, and learn directly from members of the Sikh community.
We were particularly proud of how respectfully and thoughtfully our pupils engaged throughout the visit, with their excellent behaviour also praised by other attendees.
A valuable experience that brought their classroom learning to life!

🪁🧵 Year Six Creativity at RGS Worcester
Today, half of Year Six enjoyed a morning of kite making in the Textiles Department at RGS Worcester.
Having already designed their kite patterns and painted their designs, pupils brought their projects with them to the Senior School, where they made use of the specialist Textiles facilities to sew and construct their kites.
The morning was also one of the many transition opportunities Year Six pupils enjoy throughout the year, giving them the chance to experience Senior School facilities, meet staff and become increasingly familiar with life at RGS Worcester.
The other half of Year Six look forward to their turn next month.

🪨✨ Exploring Stonehenge in Augmented Reality! ✨🪨
Year Three took a journey back in time as they explored Stonehenge through Augmented Reality, bringing this fascinating historical site right into the classroom!
The pupils immersed themselves in the experience while using their research skills to discover interesting facts about Stonehenge and its history.
A brilliant way to combine technology, history and curiosity, making learning come to life!
