About the Association

Everyone who visits RGS The Grange remarks on the unusually strong sense of community. Nowhere is this more evident than in our Parents’ and Teachers’ Association (PTA) which promotes the family and community aspects of the school.

The Parents’ and Teachers’ Association (PTA) exists to fulfil three main aims:

  • Promote the role of the school within the local community
  • Foster and promote fundraising for local and national child-based charities
  • Foster and promote fundraising for the benefit of the children at RGS The Grange

The Committee

The committee meets on average two to three times each term to organise the calendar of events. Many parents prefer to get involved in individual activities without having the commitment of attending meetings.

Project Work

Rather than support one project, the PTA supports individual ‘bids’ from teachers for non-essential equipment purchases.

In recent years the PTA has provided:

  • A 15-metre ‘Traversing Wall’
  • Jubilee Wood
  • Pavilion Benches
  • Team Kits
  • Waterproof Suits and Hats
