Trips and residentials

Creating unforgettable experiences

School trips are powerful and positive experiences for children of all ages. Most of us as adults can still remember the excitement of getting on a bus and heading out on an educational adventure with our friends.

These hands-on learning experiences, often in a new and exciting environment, not only bring academic learning to life but also add real value developmentally. Staff and pupils return with new understanding, shared experiences, and exciting stories to recount.

Your child will take part in termly day trips to a variety of centres linked to work taking place in school. These might include:

  • The Sea Life Centre
  • The Snowdome
  • Cheddar Gorge
  • Think Tank
  • Worcester Cathedral
  • Chedworth
  • Sudeley Castle

trips provide opportunities to lead and have a hugely positive impact on a child’s resilience, self-confidence and wellbeing.

Residential trips

We are proud that our staff want to offer children the experience of a residential trip. Research shows that these trips provide opportunities to lead and have a hugely positive impact on your child’s:

  • ability to foster deeper relationships
  • resilience, self-confidence and wellbeing
  • engagement with learning
  • cohesion and sense of belonging

Your child’s recollections of residential trips will doubtless be amongst the highlights of their time at RGS The Grange. Tales are invariably passed down the year groups, growing exponentially with each telling.

“IT’S A FEELING OF GROWTH. THAT TINGLE OF BELIEF THAT SOMETHING ONCE IMPOSSIBLE CAN NOW BE DONE.”

The ‘It’s a Feeling…’ film captures the unique feeling that parents and pupils experience when they visit the Family of Schools
