Our GCSE Results 2020
After such a disrupted year, RGS Dodderhill students were delighted to achieve impressive GCSE examination results this year.
After much uncertainty over the past few days, it was with relief that the final decision was to award the School Assessed Grades, or Examination Boards Grades, whichever were higher. The results this year at RGS Dodderhill demonstrate the high ability of this cohort and the excellent value-added achieved by students at our small, girls-only school, with 58% of all grades awarded at 9 or 8, and 99% of all grades between 9 and 4.
Every student achieving their chosen Sixth Form place, we are delighted that the girls can now look forward to the next stage of their education, whilst taking with them many fond memories of their time at school. Several pupils are transitioning to RGS Worcester Sixth Form, following the merger of Dodderhill into the family of schools last year.
The Headmistress, Sarah Atkinson, at the end of her first full year at RGS Dodderhill said: “Since the announcement in march that Year Eleven would not be taking public examinations there has been uncertainty and anxiety about results. I am delighted that our hard-working, motivated and creative girls have been rewarded with excellent results. They leave Dodderhill with a wealth of happy memories, life-long friends and exciting futures ahead of them. We all wish them every success.”
