RGS Saxophonists visit the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
Last week, seven young RGS Saxophonists from Year Seven to Upper Sixth, attended a ‘Sax Day’ at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Congratulations to Year Seven pupils, Eloise Austin Ginger and Audrey Hargreaves, who last week won the age 12-15 years category in the local competition, ‘Redditch Has Talent’.
In the Lent term, Year Seven pupils studied an introduction to Christianity in their Philosophy and Religion lessons. It was therefore an exciting prospect to be able to take the entire Year group to visit the amazing resource on our own doorstep that is Worcester Cathedral.
As readers will know, the Commonwealth Games 2022 are taking place in Birmingham this summer from Thursday 28 July to Monday 8 August.
Last week, Head of Careers, Mrs Williams accompanied a group of Lower Sixth students to Worcester Crown Court.
We say ‘good-bye’ to some long-standing staff this summer whose combined service amounts to over 20 years. We would like to thank them for all their hard work and commitment and wish them a lovely summer and the very best for the future.
This week, pupils enjoyed participating in the Lower, Middle or Sixth Form Sport Days. With the opportunity to take part in a variety of Athletic challenges and events, pupils had lots of fun competing alongside their peers and earning all important ‘House’ points.
RGS Sportspeople gathered in the Schools’ Tom Savage Sports Hall this week for the annual Sports Awards Evening. This event is a lovely way to celebrate all of our RGS teams and Sportspeople.
The rain and wind didn’t stop a very special Boat Naming Ceremony to name two boats at the RGS Worcester, Pullinger Boat Club.
Congratulations to Year Seven pupil, Lilianna Sprigg, who qualified for the Arena Eventing Championships in April this year, finishing in 5th position.
Congratulations to Teacher of Tennis Mrs Witcomb on her recent match win, whilst playing Doubles in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire County Mixed round-robin group, in the June tournament.
Once again, the 1st XI Cricket season concludes with the annual RGS Schools’ Cricket Festival. Running from Monday 4 July to Friday 8 July.
