RGS Worcester pupils enjoyed an excellent summer of Cricket, achieving success at county, regional, national and international level while representing clubs and representative sides.

Lower Sixth student Max enjoyed an excellent run of success on the golf course over the summer, securing victories at two Junior Open competitions.

Congratulations to Year Ten pupil Harrison, who recently took an exciting step in his Hockey development after being invited to attend an England Hockey Under 16 trial at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

On Sunday 27 September, Head of Higher Education, Mr Hallett, took part in one of the City of London’s oldest traditions, joining the annual Woolmen’s Sheep Drive and Livery Fair on Southwark Bridge.

Most members of the RGS community will know Mr Garrity as a Drama teacher, but outside School he swaps the classroom for the rehearsal room and stage, performing as lead guitarist with Birmingham-based indie rock band Future Fires.

Every year on 26 September, schools across Europe mark the European Day of Languages, celebrating the 225 languages spoken across the continent.

The Upper Sixth Drama trip has always been an iconic event which all A Level Drama students look forward to and this year’s group definitely made it iconic!

Families with children in Years Five and Six are invited to join RGS Worcester for a free Sport Taster Morning on Saturday 3 October, offering an enjoyable opportunity to experience Sport at the School first-hand.

Year Eight pupils visited Birmingham Botanical Gardens on Tuesday and Thursday this week for a cross-curricular visit bringing together Geography, Art and Mathematics.

Lower Sixth Art students recently visited Worcester city centre to begin their new ‘City Life’ project, using the city as a source of first-hand research and visual inspiration.

Former RGS Worcester pupils Ozzy Beswick, Ollie Gould, Will Hughes and Kieran Lilley were joined by current Upper Sixth student Sihan as they took to the stage at Sunshine Festival in Upton-upon-Severn over the summer holidays, performing together as their band, Revolution 9.

Year Eleven pupil Poppy enjoyed outstanding national success over the summer holidays, securing a silver medal at the All England Dance National Finals in Eastbourne and placing second in the country in the Contemporary Trio category.

Year Nine pupil Noah enjoyed an outstanding introduction to Four-Cross mountain biking over the summer holidays, finishing fourth nationally in the 13-15 age category at the British Four Cross National Championships on Sunday 23 August.

With the Michaelmas term now well underway, there is plenty to look forward to at RGS Worcester over the coming months, with a busy programme of performances, trips, sporting fixtures, House competitions and community events taking us through to Christmas.

RGS Worcester is looking forward to welcoming prospective pupils and their families to Open Morning tomorrow, Saturday 19 September, offering visitors the opportunity to experience School life first-hand.
