Activities and early exploration

Sensory experiences form an important part of early development. Within our baby rooms, children are encouraged to explore through natural materials, sound, movement and carefully planned activities that support curiosity and engagement. A range of activities and experiences are provided each day, along with access to our dedicated sensory room, offering a calm space for gentle exploration.

Safe sleep and rest

Sleep is an important part of a baby’s development. Our nursery includes a dedicated sleep room, providing a quiet and comfortable environment for rest. Sleep routines are guided by each baby’s individual needs and parents’ preferences, ensuring consistency with home. Babies are closely monitored by staff at all times.

Feeding and mealtimes

Feeding routines are tailored to each baby and carefully managed in partnership with parents. The nursery provides:

  • Freshly prepared, home-cooked meals made on site
  • Breakfast, snacks and lunch
  • Support with weaning
  • Support for breast milk or formula feeding
  • Careful management of allergies and dietary requirements

Mealtimes are calm and unhurried, helping babies feel relaxed while maintaining familiar routines.

Learning through the EYFS framework

Our approach follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting babies’ development through play, exploration and responsive care in our baby room.

Activities support key areas of early development, including communication & language, physical development & movement, and personal, social & emotional development. Through gentle interactions and early experiences, babies begin to develop the confidence and curiosity that support lifelong learning.
