Outstanding Sporting Facilities

We offer outstanding sporting facilities that support pupils in achieving their personal best, whether they are aspiring athletes or simply looking to enjoy physical activity.

Our School features state-of-the-art sports halls, extensive playing fields, a fitness suite, and world-class facilities for sports such as hockey, netball, cricket and rugby.

Combined with expert coaching and a diverse range of sports clubs, we provide pupils with opportunities to develop their skills, build resilience and encourage teamwork.

From competitive fixtures at the highest level to recreational pursuits, our facilities ensure every pupil can thrive and enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle.

Exceptional Pastoral Care

We delight in seeing happy children enjoying their time at school, but we also realise that adolescence can bring with it challenges and pressures. We work to equip our young people with the confidence, strength and self-belief that will allow them to realise their potential and lead fulfilling lives, both during their time at RGS and beyond.

We achieve this through our comprehensive programme of personal development and our dedicated pastoral team, which works to really connect with each individual. We look forward to getting to know you and your child and to working with you to support them throughout the course of their RGS journey.

The Arts

Inspire. Create. Perform.

At RGS Worcester, the Arts are central to a vibrant and enriching education. From ambitious theatrical productions and large-scale concerts to award-winning design and fine art, pupils are encouraged to express themselves, explore their talents and achieve excellence.

Drama: Our drama productions are bold, imaginative and unforgettable – from Shakespeare performed on a beach to contemporary plays on stage and beyond. Pupils gain confidence, creativity and performance skills, with opportunities both on stage and behind the scenes, including international experiences such as performing at Walt Disney World in Orlando.

Music: Pupils join choirs, ensembles and orchestras, performing in prestigious venues and enjoying a wide range of musical experiences, from classical concerts to Big Band and Rock and Pop nights. Many go on to gain scholarships at top music colleges and pursue professional careers.

Art & Design: Creativity thrives at RGS Worcester. Pupils’ work is exhibited in the School, local galleries and national exhibitions, including Worcester Cathedral. Sixth Form students benefit from dedicated studio spaces, developing their portfolios in a professional and supportive environment.

Textiles: Home to the Midlands Centre for the Young Fashion Designer UK competition, our Textiles Department is a hub of innovation. Pupils consistently produce high-quality, award-winning work at both GCSE and A Level, supported by expert teaching and industry-standard facilities.

Design Technology: Our fully equipped DT department encourages innovation through practical, real-world projects. Pupils participate in national competitions, such as the Arkwright Scholarships and Greenpower racing, with RGS Worcester holding a leading regional record for success.
