It was lovely to welcome alumni Felix Haynes (2012-19), Alec Berry (2013-18) and Will Osborne (2006-21) back to School as they offered advice and shared their experiences on Oxbridge with our current students over a working lunch.
On the 12 and 13 September we welcomed new parents of Sixth Form and Year Seven pupils, as well as those joining other Year groups, for their New Parents’ Evenings.
During the summer, our very excited group of Drama students and enthusiasts jetted off to Boston for a week of arts and culture.
New Year Seven pupil, Ayrton Little, secured a super win in an Under 14 Tennis tournament in Wolverhampton this month.
Last weekend saw Year Eight pupil, Cameron Henry, compete in the national Delancey UK Chess Challengers Terafinal, the largest junior chess tournament in the UK with children coming from all corners of the country to take part.
On Friday 9 September, pupils from Year Seven enjoyed the opportunity to extend and enrich the curriculum with a Field Day trip, at the end of their first week with RGS.
After a two-year Covid-19 enforced absence, it was wonderful to gather former pupils together for the RGS alumni annual golf day at the Worcester Golf and Country Club.
Lower and Upper Sixth Drama students took part in the annual trip to Cornwall in preparation for various elements of their studies.
Alice Atkinson spent the summer travelling across Europe playing Hockey for the England Under 18 team.
It was a fantastic achievement over the summer when Loïc Keasey was picked to represent England in the Under 18 Rugby squad to tour South Africa.
Six Lower Sixth Form students visited the Royal Society Summer Exhibition on Thursday 7 July.
On Saturday 3 September we hosted the annual RGS Worcester alumnae hockey tournament, played at the Worcester International Hockey Centre.
Over the summer, three brothers, all RGS alumni, celebrated their Graduation together at Cardiff University.
At the end of last term, Year Ten pupils studying GCSE Engineering at RGS were treated to an inside look into the workings of Yamazaki Mazak at the company’s European centre here in Worcester.
