Year 7 pupils have been learning how to give opinions about food in Spanish lessons, a linguistic skill they will develop as they head towards GCSE.
In Year 6, pupils undertake a core curriculum piece of work focusing on the continent of Africa.
This year, we marked World Book Day with a great range of costumes and a lot of fun in school!
This year we have chosen to mark Mother Tongue day with a special whole school assembly featuring some of our students who speak a wide range of languages at home.
Following on from the successes of our Chinese New year celebrations in recent years, we took time out of our usual curriculum in the Prep School to find out about Chinese culture.
RGS pupils have taken time out of their normal languages curriculum to make contact with their counterparts in Santo Domingo de Silas, Pinto, Madrid.
We were delighted to visit our partner school in Pinto on the outskirts of Madrid marking the beginning of a year of partnership.
This year, the theme for European Day of Languages has been to communicate on the theme of Peace.
At RGS Dodderhill we provide pupils with opportunities which enable them to prepare for life beyond the school gates as global citizens.
