We welcomed Textile Designer Sarah Rich-Harrison to RGS Worcester last week. With a focus on sustainable design, Sarah couples bold colour and print with luxury fabrics. From Brutalist architectural design to her childhood home of Vanuatu in the South Pacific, she uses her inspiration and passion for pattern to create abstract fabric design.
Sarah inspired the Lower Sixth students with her talk about her influences, her business and about her printing processes. The students enjoyed learning ways in which to create fabric prints and explored their own practical pieces using simple line drawings to create abstract screen prints as an introduction to their latest project. Our thanks to Sarah for inspiring the students.
