The School treats the security and privacy of personal data with the utmost importance.

The Foundation Office is bound by, and operates according to, the School’s Data Protection Policy which complies with the GDPR legislation. A copy of the Data Protection Policy along with specific Privacy Notices can be requested at any time through the Foundation Office.

Alumni data is never sold or swapped. It is only ever shared with the AOOEs when a former pupil is a member of the Association and has given his/her with written consent.

Should anyone receiving communications from the Foundation Office and/or School wish to stop receiving correspondence then this will be acted upon as soon as a request is received by the Foundation Office. No reason needs to be given by a recipient to stop some or all communications. Should current preferences subsequently change they can be restarted at any time in the future when requested.

The Foundation Office is delighted when it is able to help reconnect old school friends. Former pupils and ex-staff can request the Foundation Office to assist in sharing contact details with a fellow member of the alumni community but this will only ever be done when both parties give their express written consent to the Foundation Office.

It is not uncommon for alumni to wish to pass on their condolences to the family of an old school friend when they are notified by the Foundation Office of his/her death. Where contact details are held by the Foundation Office letters can be forwarded on behalf of an alumnus but consent to share details is not normally sought from grieving families.

The Foundation Office will abide by the requirements of the Fundraising Regulator and follow the Institute of Fundraising Code of Practice when conducting fundraising activities. Should anyone have concerns about fundraising correspondence or practice they are requested to contact the Foundation Director in the first instance who will endeavour to resolve any query.
