Year Seven workout for Childline
The Year Seven pupils undertook their annual NSPCC fundraiser at the start of this term. Pupils take part in a fitness event to raise money for the charity and to make it a little harder, they wore fancy dress costumes; which were very impressive.
Molly Farmer and Olivia Middleton explain what they had to do, “We took part in a big workout with lots of different exercise stations where we had to do 30 second bursts of exercise. Then we ran a lap of the hall before doing it all over again but for 20 seconds instead of 30. It was a great hour and we managed to raise over £2,000!”
After the workout the pupils started the tough task of raising money for this really important charity. Childline is a service provided by NSPCC and is a lifeline for many children. Last week Kia Giles from the NSPCC returned to RGS Worcester to thank us for all our hard work, on behalf of the charity. The pupils had raised an impressive figure of £2,079.26.
We continue to be very grateful for the support of all members of the RGS community for their hard work in reaching this amount, especially over the expensive Christmas season.
