Three RGS Qualifiers at Worcestershire Winter Games

Last Thursday, four Year Seven pupils, Alice Atkinson, Lily Hutton, Alex Cook and Hugo Robinson, travelled to Wolverley CE School to run in the Worcestershire Winter Schools’ Games cross country, representing Droitwich and Worcester City.

Alice Atkinson took first place in the Under 12 Girls’ race closely followed by Lily Hutton in eighth place; both qualified for the Nationals. Alex Cook came in third place in the Under 12 boys’ race, also qualifying for the Nationals. Hugo Robinson ran a very impressive race but unfortunately did not qualify this time.

Alice Atkinson, Year Seven said: “We really enjoyed the day and loved the course. Everybody ran really well and we had some great results. We are all looking forward to Nationals on 25 March and we are hoping to improve our time even more.”
