RGS Worcester is delighted to have been chosen as a Finalist once again in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. The School has won a place in the Final of the ‘Best Education and Business Partnership’ category. The Chamber of Commerce, amongst many other education and business organisations in the two Counties, is working to deliver a workforce that can fill the skills gap which many businesses report as a problem affecting business growth. In progressing RGS to the Final of this competition, the Chamber has recognised the excellent endeavours of the School’s Careers programme and the work carried out across the School to establish links with business through projects, competitions and community work.
Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on Thursday 9 June at the University of Worcester Arena. An Overall Business of the Year will also be announced on the night. The black tie event attracts over 500 members of the business community who, this year, will hear from Colin Jackson, Olympic Silver medalist, twice World champion and holder of the 110m hurdles world record for over a decade, who will be speaking and presenting the prizes.
