Kings vs RGS Football Challenge Cup Comes To Sixways
RGS Worcester will go head-to-head with King’s School at Sixways for the first time in their annual Challenge Cup football match on Wednesday 1 March (kick-off 7.00pm).
In the last four encounters between the teams, the match has been won by a single goal, with RGS winning the annual fixture in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
King’s School won last year’s match 1-0; the first time they had won the annual fixture since 2012.
RGS Captain Tom Beardmore added: “RGS vs King’s is always a great occasion and the fact that we are playing the match at Sixways this year will make it extra special.
Having been on both the winning and losing side of this rivalry in the past two seasons, the team and I are more determined than ever to make sure RGS are victorious.
This will be the first time the football match has taken place at Sixways and victory here would undoubtedly be the highlight of our season.”
We wish the team every success and encourage pupils, parents, alumni and friends to join us on 1 March.
