House Tug Of War
Year Seven pupils came together for their first exciting competition since joining their Houses in December.
There was great anticipation and excitement in Cobham Hall on Tuesday 16 January as Wylde, Whiteladies, Ottley and Elgar Houses prepared for their Tug of War tournament.
The teams worked with great enthusiasm and were very passionate about doing their very best and were well supported by many onlookers.
The event was refereed by Mr Shorrocks, and adjudicated by House Co-ordinator, Mr Ralfe.
It was a very closely fought contest resulting in a narrow 1 point lead for Elgar House, just ahead of Ottley. Whitleadies took 3rd place and Wylde took 4th. Mr Ralfe said, “It was a brilliant competition and very encouraging to see how hard everyone tried. As far as I am concerned, they were all winners on the day.”
The next contested event for Year Seven is House Rowing which will take place on Tuesday 30 January.
