Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards

Four RGS alumni visited St James’ Palace recently to collect their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards. Congratulations to James Pheysey (2008-15), Emily Hill (2006-15), Elizabeth Platts (2004-16) and Lois Beaumont (2000-16) on their wonderful achievement.

To complete the DofE Gold Award, the participants completed 12 months of volunteering (a minimum of one hour per week), a physical and skills programme (minimum one hour per week), a four day, three night expedition and a shared activity in a residential setting away from home for five days and four nights.
