Safeguarding Expert joins RGS
We are delighted to announce the appointment of former Head Teacher and current independent Safeguarding Consultant, Sally Mills to the RGS Board of Governors.
Sally has extensive experience of working with children from early years through to young teens for more than 40 years. For the past eight years she has been working for the Local Authority supporting schools and colleges across Worcestershire in safeguarding children and child protection and has undertaken many courses to support this role. She is now a well-known and widely respected independent Safeguarding Consultant within the education sector.
Dr Lee Andrew, Assistant Head (Pastoral) said:

The appointment of Sally with her wealth of experience and expertise will be a great support as we continue to work to ensure that our pastoral provision serves our pupils and their families as they face the ever increasing demands of 21st Century life.”
Sally also has has a BEd. (Hons.) degree in English and Education, an advanced diploma in Special Educational Needs and a National Professional Qualification for Headship. She worked for seven years as Head of English and Special Needs before becoming Deputy Head then Head Teacher at a Worcestershire Middle School.
