An RGS Welcome to Year Seven Pupils and Parents
RGS welcomed a number of new pupils at the start of the academic year and the Year Seven pupils, in particular, have enjoyed the challenges the RGS Senior School provides.
The parents were welcomed by the Headmaster at the New Parents’ Evening last Wednesday. The Year Seven parents particularly enjoyed the opportunity to view a video of the pupils enjoying their first week. There were lots of smiles on show. Lunchtime clubs started this week and the start of term Activities Fair was the usual hive of activity, where teachers and older pupils vied to encourage Year Sevens to join their clubs. We continue to be impressed with the way our pupils embrace the opportunities available to them.
The challenge of homework will soon commence but the Year Seven Pastoral team is delighted with how well the new pupils have settled in their new school. The transition process continued today with our Field Day at Oaker Wood Activities Centre, where we are sure the pupils had lots of fun and got to know their year group even more, outside the classroom.
