The Big Week For The ‘Big Breakfast’ At The RHS Malvern Spring Show

All of the hard work has paid off for the Gardening Club, as they have been Commended for their Garden design and they have received First Prize for the ‘Campaign to Protect Rural England’.

The Gardening Club and volunteers worked tirelessly over the Bank Holiday, preparing their design for the RHS Malvern Spring Garden Show which takes place 10-13 May.

In sweltering conditions, they constructed the garden from scratch, even wheelbarrowing 30 barrows of soil to fill in their space.  Once the soil was in place, the structures took shape and finally the planting. The most time-consuming part was the watering, as the weather, whilst beautiful, quickly sucked up any moisture.

The garden will be on show and they would welcome visitors. Hopefully some of the gardening celebrities will also join them; last year they were joined by Joe Swift and he spent time chatting and admiring their efforts.
