It is the last day of the Michaelmas term and Christmas has been in full swing here at the Senior School!
The catering team from Holroyd Howe cooked a delicious Christmas lunch for all staff and pupils today and made six hundred cupcakes which were on display in Main Hall. The Support Staff have been wearing Christmas jumpers and had a ‘Christmas Decorated Desk’ competition running since Monday. Lots of Support Staff participated and there’s a video of all of their efforts here.
Everyone is in a festive mood which was reflected in the large numbers of people who attended the fantastic Carol Concert at Worcester Cathedral last night. Thank you to all who came and for your charitable donations, which amounted to over £1,000 for Worcester Snoezelen, a local charity providing sensory therapy for profoundly disabled young people.
Year Seven participated in an Inter Form dance competition at lunch time and Senior pupils leapt to their feet in Main Hall and sang the Band Aid song ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ to great applause.
Finally, in the end of term assemblies, Tazmin Barnes, Lower Sixth, and the Senior brass ensemble performed, before the roof of Perrins Hall was raised as the pupils sang ‘Hark the Herald’.
What a rousing end to the term!
