We offer comprehensive advice at every stage of an application. Tutors, Heads of Department, the Head of Sixth Form and Sixth Form Teachers, ISCO advisors and the Academic Management Team all assist in this advice and support.
Students have access to Unifrog, the only Careers tool that contains a comprehensive list of every University course and every Apprenticeship vacancy in the UK. As an innovative product, it allows parents to login alongside students, so that they become part of the Careers guidance process.
The UCAS process begins in the Lower Sixth, with a Next Sep Day being held in November. This explores life beyond the Sixth Form. Employability follows in the Lent term with the Expo and in Trinty term, UCAS visit the School to deliver lectures on the application process. The UCAS event is for parents and students to listen to speakers who talk on finance, making a successful application, the changing realities of Higher Education in the UK, studying abroad, alternatives to Higher Education and other subject areas. Higher and Degree Apprenticeships have specialist support from the head of Careers as well as advice through the whole process.
