Double Century and Five Cricket Wins Against Warwick School
There were some superb cricket performances on Saturday against Warwick School. Callum Turner batted beautifully and scored a century for the 1st XI and together with George Cook (60) set up a very challenging 270. Warwick could not make any headway against the accurate and penetrative RGS bowlers and were all out for 117. To top the day off there were also wins for the 2nd XI, Under 15A, Under 13A and Under 12A against Warwick, which represents an excellent set of results and bodes well for the season.
In a remarkable week, Callum Turner hit a second century for the 1st XI against Hereford Cathedral School on Wednesday, as the senior side continued their good form after the tour to Sri Lanka. In this match, Callum was far more destructive and hit his 101 off only 76 balls as the 1st XI amassed 218 from only 30 overs. Hereford fared little better than Warwick, all the bowlers having success dismissing Hereford Cathedral School for just 64.
Congratulations to Callum and all the teams for a great start to the season.
