Santa and his Reindeer

Butterflies kicked off their Christmas topic with a visit to Smart Trees Farm.  The children were warmly dressed to enjoy a day in the outdoors, wandering through the Christmas trees to find post boxes and stamp their maps.

We tried out Santa’s sleigh that was powered by a tractor whilst singing songs and calling out for it to go faster! After a spot of warm squash the Butterflies posted their letters in Santa’s post box and walked though Santa’s Grotto, meeting reindeer along the way and making a wish in the wishing well before meeting Santa himself. It was quite a quiet journey home as many children fell asleep after such a busy, exciting and enjoyable trip.
