On Tuesday, the Springfield Prep Choir joined the Senior School and The Grange to perform together at Worcester Cathedral. The Springfield Choir had worked hard to learn two pieces to perform. The first piece, Ribbons in the Sky by Andy Beck, was inspired by a Native American piece celebrating the beauty of rainbows. Their second piece, Love’s Tempest arranged by Ruth Morris Gray, was a translation of a 19th Century Text by Appollon Maykiv. The children enjoyed seeing the other choirs perform and especially the Orchestra and Senior Strings.
In the second half of the concert twelve of the Year Five and Six children stayed on to perform Haydn’s Nelson Mass. This was a challenging work but an incredible experience to perform with such a large choir and professional soloists as well as a full orchestra.
Well done to all children who were part of this annual event.
