Legacies are a wonderful way to contribute to the School in perpetuity and provide a lasting recognition of an individual’s affection for RGS or AOS.
Through the auspices of the Development Office, the Governors and the Headmaster as Trustees of the charity are wholly committed to honouring the wishes expressed within any Will. The bond of trust between a donor and the School is at the heart of the Development Office and will never be compromised.
RGS Worcester recommends that anyone wishing to leave a legacy in their Will should take advice from a suitably qualified legal advisor to ensure that the gift complements their wider estate planning objectives
If it is appropriate for a legacy to the School to form part of the Will then the Development Office will be happy to provide guidance around the wording based upon the specific aims of the donor. Informing the Development Office of your intention to make a gift to the School is warmly encouraged because it enables this generosity to be recognised during your lifetime.
If you prefer not to notify the School of your intention then please accept our sincere thanks at this time. There are several pieces of information that your solicitor will require in order to the ensure the gift is accurately allocated to your chosen beneficiary:
Although the School operates as RGS Worcester its legal name is The Royal Grammar School Worcester and it is a registered charity with number 1120644. Its registered office address is: Upper Tything, Worcester WR1 1HP.
To discuss legacy gifts in complete confidence and without obligation please contact the Development Manager, Scott MacDonald, on 01905 613391.
